Chapter 8
Janae wakes up and tries to move but can’t. Then she remembers that she’s not alone. She’s lying on her back and he has his head on her shoulder, legs intertwined with hers and his arm wrapped around her waist. At this very moment, she is in such a tranquil place. She lays there and watch him sleeping peacefully, capturing this very moment to add to her elephant photo bank of a memory. She’s tempted to reach out to touch him and make sure that it isn’t a figment of her imagination but she doesn’t want to disturb him. As if he feels her watching him, he opens his eyes and smiles. “Good morning beautiful.” “Hi handsome, did you get a good night’s sleep?”
“The best, he replied still smiling”
“Would you like some breakfast?”
“I was thinking the same thing,” he says with a devilish grin as he moves under the covers to enjoy his breakfast feast.
It’s well after one o’clock when they finally start moving around. She goes into the bathroom and runs some bath water as hot as she can stand it. She just wanted to soak and hold on to the sweet memories of yesterday besides, Reason had worked muscles in her body that she didn’t even know existed. She was so caught up in daydreaming about their adventures that she didn’t realize he had entered the bathroom and was leaning against the door watching her. She finally came out of her reverie when she heard him clearing his throat and blushed at the fact that he looked like he knew what she was thinking about.
“You need any help with that,” Reason asked.
“As much as I would like to say yes to that question, I’m going to have to decline,” she responds. She stands up and reaches for her towel to dry off. Reason makes this low guttural growl and extends his hand to assist her out of the tub.
“Janae, you are such a tease!” He leans in and plants a kiss on her that is so passionate she becomes weak in the knees. He starts to dry her off and even this small task is erotic in nature coming from him. Reason has her feeling some type of way right now and he knows it by the erratic rhythm of her breathing. He tells her to get dressed and meet him in the kitchen, leaving her very much so hot and bothered.
As Janae walks down the hall towards the kitchen, she smells food and her stomach starts growling. It’s been over twelve hours since the last time she had eaten and she was famished.
“Breakfast for my queen,” Reason says. He has cooked eggs, pancakes, hash browns, bacon, sausage and mimosas. She thinks to herself, “And he cooks, he is definitely a keeper!” He pulls out her chair and tells her to relax that he’s taking care of everything. Not only did he cook but he caters to her every need. “Reason,” she says, “please don’t start anything that you can’t finish.
